Cold shrink belts are an easy way to seal when a new air pipe system is built or re-sealing an existing piping system.
By using high-quality carrier films and adhesive materials, the best assembly results in terms of tightness and visual appearance are achieved in compliance with the processing guidelines.
Unlike conventional adhesive tapes, KETTNER cold shrink tapes are mounted with a pre-elongation of approx. 10% pre-elongation. Due to the subsequent shrinkage process of the carrier film, the belt is fixed around the impact connection to be sealed, at the same time the formation of wrinkles in the area of folds and screw heads is avoided.

The good sealing properties of a cold shrink tape are mainly due to its shrinkage capacity, thus very low adhesive or tape thicknesses are possible compared to conventional adhesive tapes.
